All too soon we were divided.

(Kamelot.)

Tonight is the lunar eclipse, which I got to see. If you don’t usually feel so (as I do), it’s a pretty good reminder that we’re kind of small and inconsequential. And our puny human problems don’t really matter at all. Our earth doesn’t matter, our solar system doesn’t matter, our galaxy does not matter at all.
Why do we get so stressed with our lives, with ourselves, with the people around us? Truthfully, who really cares? We’re a bunch of chemicals, molecules, moving and interacting to make us who we are. What we perceive, what we think…it’s just chemicals going through another chemical through another chemical. If you break everything down, everything we’re doing or saying or thinking is just a bunch of electrons and neutrons and protons and waves and photons and quirks and quarks just floating around. Seen through this perspective, the universe itself isn’t even that important. A bunch of particles being in existence, big deal.

Don’t be stressed, you’re not that important. What’s important is to remember that we’re not important.

And don’t be divided =] if we’re going to be a bunch of chemicals floating around, we might as well be chemicals emitting happy chemicals; or at least, chemicals that are perceived by the brain (which is made out of more chemicals) as happy. Be united, be happy, and be unimportant!

A Comprehensive History of Hoomoo

Just so you know my background and were my opinions come out of.
Haha it’s kind of like Europe, only some things are moved around.

The Age of Peasants aka not knowing anything: This is from when I was born to about grade six. I didn’t know anything about pop culture at all, including music. I didn’t listen to music, basically. I just sat around and did homework.
The Enlightenment: Hoomoo discovers music with the aid of her parents in grade six or seven. Hoomoo’s parents give her a CD player and a CD for Christmas. This CD happens to be the Avril Lavigne debut CD. Hoomoo feels so cool, listening to this music, and is introduced to Avril Lavigne. She has problems with the lyrics at first, because the words internally rhyme (the vowels rhyme, but not the ending consonants) and she doesn’t think that’s actual rhyming. Her mom provides a Hilary Duff CD, Metamorphosis. Hoomoo feels even cooler, she has TWO CDs. She’s obsessed. But still doesn’t know about other artists.
Progressive Immersion: Hoomoo gets Avril Lavigne’s second CD. She starts developing a kind of taste. Not a very good one, unfortunately. She listens to this CD while knitting. All the time. For the whole Christmas (I think it was Christmas) Break.
Turn to the Dark Side: Hoomoo’s friends have lots of influence on her DDD= By grade eight, Hoomoo hates Hilary Duff and Avril Lavigne thanks to her friends. Hoomoo is introduced to Green Day. She does nothing for the whole year but listen to American Idiot. She thinks she’s so rebel and cool.
Dark Ages: Upon discovery that Green Day actually isn’t very credible in the “dark” society, haha. Green Day is ditched. From grade nine to beginning of grade eleven, Hoomoo seeks more and more… … …far out and weird music. And loud. LOUD. It gets very bad. She spends these two years trying to be dark. She actually finds some good music n__n yay, her taste is getting better. She still buys her CDs, though.
The Pit: Maddox is too influential. Hoomoo gets caught trying to be all cool and rebel. Hoomoo’s search for dark music gets bad. Very bad. She finds ctts. After that, everything seems tame. And…this dark stuff is losing its appeal. Turning point.
Industrial Revolution: AKA machines. Beginning of grade eleven, Hoomoo becomes obsessed with electronic music for a few months.
Emergence into Light: Hoomoo starts listening more towards the mainstream side for fun. As a joke. CALIFORNIAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA, Jay Chou, Ne-Yo. She likes it. unfortunately. No more dark music =] Hoomoo learns how to download music. she dabbles in random genres. It tips back and forth, from dark to light…but never for long periods.

Story of Hoomoo’s life =]
Current Genre: Symphonic Metal
Most Recent Genre: Chinese Pop
